The Musandam remains one of the remotest corners of the world and could well be called, the land that time forgot. Lying at the very northern tip of Oman, where the Arabian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman meet in the Straits of Hormuz, the region is virtually unexplored and the dive sites virtually unknown. The mountains rise to over 6000 feet in places and drop sheer into the surrounding waters. Numerous fiords line the coast, some as long as fifteen miles, others no more than two.
