Simple and challenging dives abound.

In general, dive sites along the east coast of the Musandam are classed as "Advanced Open Water" standard. There are numerous, very fine sites with some exceeding guests’ wildest imaginations. However, there are some delightful coves where the waters are no more difficult than a swimming pool and it is here that beginners or divers of minimal experience levels can quite safely dive. The owners of Charlotte Anne consider safety to be the absolute criterion for any dive and great emphasis is placed on this factor throughout a charter period.

Although slack waters between tides can be predicted with accuracy, unusual currents do sometimes exist making a simple dive into something far more challenging. Inexperienced divers will never be permitted to dive such locations. Having said that, the Musandam is truly one of the world’s top class diving regions with two additional advantages. Underwater life is generally on a much larger scale than elsewhere, and apart from the occasional fisherman, there is rarely anybody else around. As the region remains virtually unknown, there is no damage whatsoever to the abundant gardens of hard and soft corals making diving all the more pleasurable
